Facebook Valued at $6.5 billion

button-facebookRussian company, Digital Sky Technologies (DST) is offering USD 14.77 per share of Facebook common stock.

If you always wanted to know how much Facebook is worth, based on the offer made by DST, it is approximately valued at USD 6.5 billion. DST investment group is willing to buy up to USD 100 million worth of Facebook shares from current and former employees. This offer is not open to CEO Mark Zuckerberg and other Facebook executives.

Things seem to going well for Facebook recently. Not only is it edging pass MySpace, it has announced a very encouraging projected revenue for 2009. I guess it wouldn’t be long before we find out whether Facebook could replicate the same success that Google is basking in now.
