YouTube. Is Your Video in the 100 Million Views Club?

youtubeEver wonder which are the videos that have managed to accumulate more than 100 million views?

Using a specific metric to measure video views across different video media platforms, Visible Measures has the answer to that.

Here’s how the metric works, quoted from its website:

“Video views measure the aggregate audience reach across all of the campaign-related placements. Views can be categorized according to their underlying placement type: seeded views and viral views.”

  • Seeded Views: Any views originating from videos uploaded by the content creator.
  • Viral Views: Viral views originate from viral placements – copies and derivative works. When a viewer watches a spoof of a campaign, it counts as a viral view.
  • The Top 5
    1. Soulja Boy: Crank That

    2. Twilight

    3. Susan Boyle (Britain’s Got Talent)

    4. Beyonce: Single Ladies

    5. Mariah Carey: Touch My Body
