5 Quirky Businesses that you wouldn’t Think of

quirkyIt is increasingly difficult to create a blue ocean. Personally, I would say that entrepreneurs in the past had a much easier time compared to the present.

Why would I say so?

Simply because many unique ideas have already been thought of. More often than not, you would realize (through the help of Google) that your new ideas have already been implemented by others. Given the circumstances, we are all compelled to think of truly unique ideas that would benefit people at the same time. As a result, great businesses and new industries have been developed. Some of which are too quirky an idea for common people to think of.

1. 7witches.com

Need a miracle? 7witches.com could help you with that. With products ranging from Love Spells, Lucky & Money Spells to Curses & Hexes, you have entered the world of Harry Potter. You could even choose a specific witch as your spell caster but do note that a High Priestess would require you to pay a premium.

This website has an impressive list of testimonials by numerous people who claimed that the magic works. You will never know until you try it yourself. (Please don’t quote me if anything negative happens!)

2. Japan Smashing Stress Reliever

All thanks to the financial turmoil, businesses are not doing too good and many are succumbing to stress. So what’s one of the more lucrative businesses to be in now? I bet you got it. Any thing that relieves our stress could possibly make us some decent money. But any ideas on what?

Gaming? Massages? Heck, they are boring!

How about smashing some porcelain cups? Think about it. It’s fun, affordable and effective – certainly working for the Japanese.

3. Fake Doctor Notes

Having a fever or hangover? Dog bit your toe or just plain overworked? – whatever your reasons are, you are well covered with excuses if you buy this product. As claimed on its website, this “revolutionary” product was featured on both CNN and Fox. Interesting it might seem, I question if such a product is even legal in the first place!

4. Dog Wigs

There is a massive market for pet accessories but I bet you didn’t think of buying your dog a wig.

Yes, Wiggles dog wig is here to rescue a bad hair day (Not yours, your dog’s!). You can change your dog’s hair style daily without messing up its original cut. Well, dogs can be vain too. Give your dog a chance to stand out from the crowd.

5. Put a Contract to Yourself

Do you desire to quit smoking, lose weight or finally get the plumbing fixed but lack the discipline to do so? What could be more effective than binding yourself with a contract? StickK can help you do exactly that.

According to their FAQ: “Years of rigorous academic research conducted by the founders of stickK have proven that using Commitment Contracts can more than triple your chances of success!”
