Malicious Mail on Facebook: Don’t Click “CooooL Video” !

It seems like there is a virus going around Facebook. If you receive a mail in your inbox with the subject line stating “CooooL Video”, delete it immediately.

The link accompanied in the mail is intended to do harm and could bring you a whole load of malware upon clicking.

According to Mashable, the links direct you to various places, including a blogspot blog.

3 Things to Note

1. If you received this mail

- Easy! Dump it right away!
- As a socially responsible person, inform the sender that his Facebook account is infected. Make sure you include this post’s permalink to inform him on what to do

2. If you find yourself sending this mail

- Inform everyone that you got the virus
- Ask them to delete any mail with the subject line “CooooL Video”
- Log off your Facebook account
- Clear your cookies
- Change your Facebook password
- Run a virus scan on your computer and remove all threats

3. Share this on your Twitter and Facebook

- Inform all your beloved friends about this malicious mail
- Love them and protect them. We should all do our part
