YouTube’s Facebook Challenge: Day 14

youtube It has been 14 days since YouTube posted a challenge to top most popular Facebook celebs in getting the most fans.

YouTube managed to bag 140k fans since then but the video streaming giant is still falling behind. In fact, Vin diesel and Lady Gaga have outpaced YouTube’s fans growth. According to YouTube, this is not surprising as celebs have movie releases, award nominations and hot photos to keep them fans-worthy.

Deep inside, we all know that this is all along not much of a challenge to the celebs. However, we appreciate the fact that the love still goes to charity no matter who’s the winner.

If the celebs win, their preferred charity organizations would be featured on YouTube’s homepage spotlight. But should YouTube reign supreme, they’d turn the homepage Spotlight module over to you. Online users would determine which causes or charities get featured that day via a poll in its blog and Facebook page.
