charity_water_poster

Penn Olson Hearts Charity: Water – Posts Series.

With Twitter you can do many things.

You can buy and sell things, listen to stories, write poems, make a proposal, find a job, and also lose a job.

What else can you do on Twitter?

How about giving a billion people clean water to drink?

Follow charity: water

To show your support for charity: water, you can follow it on Twitter. Through simple tweets, you can be informed of the latest events and campaigns and learn new ways to promote the cause!

Tweet and RT

Receiving information is one thing but passing it on is another. In order to spread awareness, charity: water needs you to share what you know to all your friends.

Twitter is a great way to do that. Tell people about charity water in 140 characters, share pictures and stories of the situation and help retweet important updates. Through Twitter, we can raise money, improve understanding and find help.

Twitter Background

charity: water has a very comprehensive website, which includes a media section where you can download Twitter backgrounds. To let people know that you are supporting charity: water, you can change your background to one of the 9 designs available.

If you think you can add to the collection, submit your own design!

Be Creative

There are many ways to supporting a cause. You don’t have to follow how it is normally done. Organize tweet-ups, use #hashtags or do a Twitter dance.

Heard of Twestival? It is a Twitter festival that brings people in various cities offline to support great causes. The festival is run 100% by volunteers and you can be the next to register your city.

The first Twestival Global was launched with a tweet and a month later, events were held in 202 cities to benefit charity: water. There are now people from all over the world arranging local Twestivals to support different charity causes.

The success of Twestival is made possible through Twitter and most importantly, its users. Your idea and initiation is important to make clean water possible for everyone.

Being in a community, we have the privilege to make an impact in people’s lives.

Use that privilege to get involved.
