5 Videos To Ease Your Google Wave Excitement

Google_Wave_logoGoogle Wave is launching on 30th September and like you, I’m excited to give this phenomenal real time communication platform a try!

I can sense the hype building up as the launch date draws closer. Google Wave is highly anticipated for its new interface and the number of possibilities it can bring to our work and social lives.

Thank god for YouTube, we are able to catch a glimpse of how it works. It did help calm my Google Wave excitement; at least for the moment.

1. Google Wave Made Simple

This video will give you a quick understanding of the fundamentals of Google Wave. To learn more, read our post on “What is Google Wave?

2. Google Wave Gadget Demo

See how a gadget works in Google Wave. A simple counter but it’s enough to explain Wave’s real time prowess.

3. HR processing in Google Wave

Google Wave’s real time chat (wiki style) and wave groupings allow many possibilities for corporations to leverage this tool. Being able to see what your partner is editing and adding to a particular message real time gives you the ability to respond to it faster, cutting down processing time. It is as good as talking face to face.

4. Google Wave on iPhone

The wave doesn’t work but it illustrates how it would look like on your iPhone.

5. Google Wave presentation – Abridged

If you’re too lazy to sit through the 1h 20mins Google Wave presentation, this 10 mins video directs you to the essence.
