On October 19, 2009, 23-year-old Greg Smith who was armed, held up a cash advance store. He quickly pointed his gun at an employee named Angela Montez.
In the midst of desperation, Angela cried and told the gunman “not to throw away his life” before leaving her fate to her prayers.
The situation then took a turning point when Greg dropped to his knees and prayed with her for the next 10 minutes.
