YouTube Phone Bashing: Android Vs iPhone

iphone-vs-androidOver last weekend, we saw Verizon Wireless’ “iDon’t” ad campaign pointing out everything Android phone has that iPhone your phone doesn’t.

The wireless carrier, a joint venture of Verizon Communications and Vodafone, along with Motorola have developed a new phone, The Droid.

The ad, with the tagline, “Everything iDon’t…Droid Does,” implies that the phone would be launching in November.

But of course we don’t expect iPhone fans to just sit there and watch their favorite brand get bashed. An Apple fan with the username, “Droiddon’t”, created a spoof of the original ad dissing the new phone back.

Catch the rest below!

iDon’t Care Ad Spoof

Droiddon’t Care?

The original video has since attracted 1.3 Million views. For such a simple online ad campaign, Droid is getting quite some exposure without much cost. As for the spoof, it is only doing Droid a favor, pushing the buzz louder. I guess Droid is using Apple’s ad style to bash Apple. Smart move?

in general, buying Apple has never been about the technology. The “new VW Beetle” was never about price, or technology, or power, or mileage. People who buy Apple phones will not stop just because somebody else advances the technology.

Apple computers and Apple phones have always been targeted toward those who want to feel tech-hip without spending the hours to actually BE tech-hip. Jobs is a marketing genius.

Couldn't agree more and Apple is definitely not fake or a follower.
