Apple has got more mentions than Microsoft on Twitter and a brand valuation that’s on the rise. Now, its market cap is closing up to the software giant. Talking about irritating!
According to Business Insider: In May 2000, Apple’s market capitalization was $17 billion before it leaped to the current $182 billion. Its rival, Microsoft was far ahead with a market capitalization of around $356 billion, but the gap narrowed when the value fell to $261 billion in 2009.
Although Apple is still falling behind by $79 billion, it seems like it is only a matter of time before Apple surpasses Microsoft.
I wonder what will Microsoft do to prevent this take over?
