1 billion is indeed a huge leap from the $550 million revenue forecast for 2009 reported in May; but with Facebook’s web traffic creeping up to Yahoo and Google, the number of ad impressions generated could very well support this new forecast.
Besides having a huge audience, relevant targeting and easy ad management are also the reasons why Facebook is so attractive to marketers.
Besides Google, Facebook is probably the next best website for businesses to advertise. What’s more, Facebook fan page allows businesses to connect with potential consumers, something that Google doesn’t offer.
I guess it doesn’t take a genius to know that Facebook is a threat to Google.
