According to Ad-ology’s “Small Business Marketing Forecast 2010”, it is reflected that Facebook is the most useful social media tool for businesses in the U.S. About one third of the respondents found Facebook somewhat beneficial while 10% found it very beneficial.
An eye opening statistic: about 53% of the respondents have never tried Facebook as a business tool. It goes to show that social media isn’t that widely used yet in the business world.
It was also reported that lack of knowledge in using these tools and the perception that their customers aren’t using them are amongst the top stumbling blocks that caused the avoidance.
