mcdonalds coffee If you have followed my tweets and seen my last creative ad post, you would realize how much I love the #13 McDonald’s ad.

The clever use of what’s already there to turn what’s often ignored to something so attention grabbing.

Thanks to @omgzam (check out his awesome guest post too), I was introduced to this creative bus stop ad by McDonald’s.

The idea is simple but intriguing: when the steam from the hot coffee balloons, a message “Your coffee is ready” appears.

It's does get attention but don't you think it looks more like it's on fire? The execution could be more apt for possible a fire prevention system.

Love it, what a great idea :) Now I'm puzzled as to how the steam escapes again, and where they get the steam from xD

Here's a rough idea on the creation of the steam machine, http://www.crabfu.com/steamtoys/diy_steampunk/ ; explaining where they get the steam from. For the "how the steam escapes", the ad board isn't air tight; the steam produced can slowly disperse from the 'gap'.
