GoogleBye: Flowers Presented To Google China [PICS]

google chinaGoogle made their irreversible stand against China’s Internet censorship in a blog post published on 12 Jan.

Well, long story short, it seems like Google’s days in China is numbered. A “flowers giving session” was held in Google China office today. Chinese supporters were seen placing flowers on the Gigantic Google logo, with cards saying, “Googlebye” and “Farewell for reunion”.

Some Chinese support Google’s fight against web censorship, but would that be sufficient to keep Google in China?

I seriously doubt so. The Chinese government wouldn’t change their web policy for Google. What’s more, there are other alternative search engines – Baidu, Yahoo! and Bing.

Notice a change in the logo design on Google.cn? It features the 4 great inventions in China (Paper, compass, gunpowder, and printing). I wonder what Google is trying to convey with this doodle.

The last picture reads, “Google, real man” in Chinese characters. Would all this change anything?

This is really cute but upsetting at the same time, it's a really interesting image with the use of Flowers, I think China's internet censorship will eventually backfire though, the internet is too big and unpredictable to control effectively.
