Twitter Marketing As Simple As Chatting

Even though there are tips on how you can improve your Twittter marketing efforts, sometimes things are best kept “business-free.”

Sending out too many business related tweets can be overwhelming for your followers. On the other hand, casual tweets don’t really benefit your business, or do they?

-

No one cares about you

Who are you and why should I care about what you have to offer? This is the cold reality we live in, especially when you are new on Twitter. For those of you who have succeeded on Twitter, you probably started out initiating tweets with little response. This process slowly transforms into a conversation and then a friendship. Likewise for a business, take the initiative to reach out to people. Listen to them and they will listen to you.

Great examples

@Zappos and @Rochorbeancurd are masters when it comes to casual tweeting as business entities. Almost all of their tweets are casual. It makes them approachable, followable and memorable.

My friend, @iammyy, brought across this point succinctly:

Now, let’s start with a chat, shall we?

I totally agree with you. Something I've found most useful is just simply asking questions. People like to answer questions and that's what helps make a stronger relationship.

So TRUE! Sometime I just love the casual post I can just read, W/O having to click a link. If I'm interested, I'll follow the link….But, most times, just something casual and funny is nice.

A reponse or question like Cassie said is the start of a conversation. Having a conversation is the start of a relationship. It is a process.
