Google Buzz appeared on the Twitter trending topic when I woke up (it’s morning in Singapore). It’s something that the web has been waiting for and I kind of got up late to catch it fresh from the oven. Nonetheless, I still managed to quickly dip my hands into this new Gmail feature and give my initial thoughts.

Thoughts? I would say that the functions are pretty standard. It works like FriendFeed (aggregator site), except that it doesn’t connect with Facebook. Smell some heat going on here?
Logging on to Google Buzz makes me feel heavy, stating on the sidebar that Willis Wee (me) has no friends. Must I go through the process of building a new set of social connections? That’s it for now.
