Twitter had experienced flat growth (in terms of unique traffic) for the past months but ironically, the number tweets are growing rapidly.
Besides the high possibility that users are tweeting more often, we also jokingly attributed the growth to the growing number of bots on Twitter.
Well, seems like the former reason is more likely. ComScore reported that Twitter‘s unique visits had risen to nearly 75 million in January. In other words, more people are joining the micro-blogging site; proving that the Twitter wave is still going strong.

Notice that the surge in unique traffic in January is also accompanied by a surge in the number of tweets sent.
Still far from Facebook but…
Facebook clocked an unique traffic of 133 million last month, doubling what Twitter has currently. We also saw Facebook overtake Yahoo to claim the number 2 web spot, trailing behind Google. Twitter growth is great but it is still considered a dwarf compared to Facebook.
But will Twitter get there one day? Judging from the statistics, its value adding platform and revenue stream potential, Twitter could be one of the giants in the future.
