Brilliant Ads: Piracy Kills Your Favourite Artists

imagesThe music industry is beating piracy not by trying to eliminate it completely, but by focusing on other revenue sources.

Artists are offering their music downloads free on platforms like MySpace. Their goal is to gain a bigger fan base that would eventually pay to go for their concerts, events and tours. However, it is still important to minimize piracy through education.

Don’t voodoo your musicians, buy music!

The ads below show how piracy, with a few clicks, can harm your favourite artists. Though the idea is pretty cool, would it help reduce piracy? Fans who really care that much about the artists wouldn’t be downloading music illegally in the first place.

Apart from the fact that it is total BS…… this is wxactly the thing that is NOT detrimental to these artists…. if there are any artists that have problems because of this, it is the up & coming artists…. but even they don't have that problem.
Simply because the music has become the marketing vehicle of the Concert.
Artists are earning more than ever… it's just the record companies that are bleeding…..

Please get the facts right before posting such innuendo….
    thanks!
