Willis, I'm a huge fan of the CMO's Guide. This is so useful. Everything we know about social services is more interesting than useful – number of logs in, number of users, number of posts etc. There's a definite need to translate this information into strategies. What will be really interesting is whether we can set up strategies that evolve as different tools emerge, dwindle, and expand, without having to go back to square one.

A lot of useful information on social media activity to think about. Thanks Penn Olson for this article!

As an individual who actually uses social media and keeps track of social media content, I think your graphs and tables here provide a lot of insight on how to implement the right message to the right target segment.

I have been using MemCatch.com metrics to show you how popular a piece of information is after it has been shared to Twitter, Linkedin, or Facebook. You can see which sites are producing the most value for your efforts. This is a great way to monitor your productivity in a personal forum, or for professional social media campaign.
