We understand how quickly people abandon new technology if they don’t see the benefits straight away. This two minute introduction, created by Howcast, helps users adapt to the Foursquare world in 6 six easy steps.

A video like that can definitely encourage adoption and help Foursquare increase its lead over Gowalla. We are also looking forward to a video that shares how businesses can utilize Foursquare. Even though its current goal is to build user base, its greatest appeal comes from how businesses are value adding customers through its platform (Check out Starbucks’ Barista badge). Attracting businesses to use Foursquare is equivalent to attracting more users.
