Wonder how the big boys leverage social media?
This infographic created by Flowtown provides comprehensive data on how the Fortune 100 companies generate engagement and followings through social media.
The data looks perfect except that only 38% of the big boys’ tweets are responding to requests or comments. I guess higher engagement and mind share could be generated if communication is more two way rather then one.
Other interesting data includes: (1) Despite Facebook‘s bigger audience of 400 million users, Twitter is more widely used. (2) In fact, each company holds more than 4 Twitter handles. (3) The average number of Facebook fans is a whopping 40,884. (4) YouTube is generally a success among the giants, with an average of 38,958 subscribers.
