3 Simple Steps Towards Twitter Marketing

twitterThere are many great resources available on the web that attempt to make Twitter marketing understandable. These resources have great content, but are sometimes too lengthy and confusing.

For this article, we will take a shot at explaining Twitter marketing in 3 simple steps: (1) Design, (2) Connect and (3) Evolve.

We also kept to less text, more visuals to ensure that your patience lasts through the post.

1. Design

In any business, design plays a major role. Create a nice avatar and background to make your twitter profile visually attractive. MailChimp, the email marketing solutions company, has a nice and consistent background and avatar design.  Check out more here.

2. Connect

Twitter is a social platform. Hard selling your company or products wouldn’t work well (your business will end up like that yellow bird above). Have a right balance between corporate and casual tweets. Sometimes, being 100% casual is the best thing to do.

3. Evolve

Once you have gotten the basics right, you can experiment Twitter for other purposes. Majority of the companies are leveraging Twitter’s reach and speed for customer service. Some create viral buzz by providing free gifts; with iPad as the most recent hot gadget giveaway.

Design, Connect and Evolve: These are the 3 simple steps towards Twitter marketing.
