After surveying over 1,700 Twitter users, Edison Research revealed that 42% use Twitter to learn about products and services.
In fact, the Twitter community seems to have a fair balance between providing and consuming information about products. 41% of those surveyed also provide their opinions to their peers through the micro-blogging site and 31% ask for opinions about a certain product when deciding on a purchase.
In essence, the statistics have presented compelling reasons for businesses to be on Twitter.
