budweiserAn event as charismatic as the World Cup has surely caught many advertisers’ attention. From news network to beer, everyone wants a piece of the World Cup craze.

Apart from official sponsors, most brands employ an ambush marketing tactic, whereby they run similar themed campaigns without actually mentioning the event itself.

Obviously Nike and Pepsi are two leading brands, which have executed this tactic perfectly, with Pepsi’s “naked bottle” as the latest ambush trick.

Below are 10 ads, comprising both official and guerrilla advertisers’ works. Among our favorites are ESPN, Nike, Budweiser and Coca Cola ads. What’s yours?
