The Social Network, has recently released its movie trailer, and in true YouTube style, the community has responded by producing parodies.
YouTube and Twitter are the two chosen ones to be featured in the parodies. The parodies have somehow mocked the original trailer through its style, but did some favor by promoting the actual movie itself.
So far, the videos have accumulated more than half a million combined views and inspired bloggers to share with others. Conveniently, this post is a good example of free publicity. Likewise for the word of mouth effect when we share these hilarious videos with our peers.
For those who missed out, The Social Network is filmed based on the book The Accidental Billionaires. It chronicles the formative days of Facebook, from its founding in Mark Zuckerberg’s Harvard dorm room through its early rise to success. Written by Aaron Sorkin and directed by David Fincher, the film stars Jesse Eisenberg as Zuckerberg. It hits theaters this October. For now, enjoy the parodies.
