bySarah ChonginUncategorized
It's official. Without us, social media sites will never grow this big. Brian Solis, an original thought leader of social media did a simple data collection, which was later used by Information Is Beautiful to prove women's social media domination! With the exception of Linkedin, YouTube, deviantART, Delicious and Digg, all other sites observed have women outnumbering men. Digg is the only "macho" site with 64% male users. Surprising? Some are not surprised by the result because women are generally considered to be more sociable than men. But there are others who did not expect ...
IBM, Google And A Cloud Challenge?

bySarah ChonginUncategorized
Seems like IBM is ready to compete with Internet giant, Google, as the new cloud computing email service provider. The service, called LotusLive iNotes is going to have an “aggressive" pricing of US$3 per employee per month while Google is charging slightly more than US$4. The higher price is justified by a higher value attributed to Google’s far bigger memory capacity and added features like word-processing and video. IBM is compensating that by emphasizing on simplicity and user friendliness. It has “Everything you need. Nothing you don’t.” The website mentions: “You'll have access to all ...

bySarah ChonginUncategorized
While most kids are out in the park playing with their dogs, 10 year old Zoe Pemberton put her 61 year old grandmother, Marian Goldall up for sale. I guess her grandmother's incessant nagging was too much to take, and with a laptop right in front of her, she came up with an ingenious idea of selling her granny on eBay. Zoe didn't bother to put a reserve price, describing her granny as "rare and annoying and moaning a lot." "I didn't know how much we'd get for her, maybe 99p," she said. Zoe ...

Pepsi To STOP Advertising. Well, Not Really

bySarah ChonginUncategorized
PepsiCo is well known for throwing out heavy advertising dollars. Despite it being a tradition rooted all the way back to the start of its intense rivalry with Coca Cola, CEO Indra K. Nooyi has concluded that anymore money spent on advertising will be considered a blatant waste. According to The Onion, a series of meetings was held over the past months before this mind blowing decision (at least for us) was made.
