Want to create a viral ad but lack inspiration? How about creating parodies? Specsavers tried it and enjoyed huge success. The ad is a parody of another viral ad titled, "The AXE Effect - Women - Billions" (over 3 million views), in which a throng of women dashed and swam towards a guy, who was vigorously spraying Axe deodorant on his body. The clever use of what's already there to turn what's often ignored to something so attention grabbing. Over last weekend, we saw Verizon Wireless' "iDon't" ad campaign pointing out everything Android phone has that iPhone your phone doesn't. The wireless carrier, a joint venture of Verizon Communications and Vodafone, along with Motorola have developed a new phone, The Droid.
