Purple Hope, a charity initiative by Yahoo Singapore, has raised more than SGD $50,000 for the Children’s Cancer Foundation (CCF) through a campaign entitled “Hair For Hope.” Interestingly, ten employees went the extra mile to shave their heads, showing their dedication to the cause. LivingSocial, the U.S daily deal site has partnered with The American Red Cross to aid relief efforts in Japan. When a LivingSocial member makes a $5 donation, LivingSocial will match that donation up to $1 million. In fact the amount has already hit $1 million. To make that possible, $20 million will be donated to these charity organizations: APC.org, ASHOKA, Bharti Foundation, Connecting Up, Global Strategies for HIV Prevention, LASA, NatureBridge, NPTech, NTEN, UNICEF.
