Top 100 YouTube Videos in a Gorgeous Poster [PIC]

Top 100 YouTube Videos in a Gorgeous Poster [PIC]

While everyone was busy celebrating during the holiday season, designer and YouTube fans Ibraheem Youssef and Paul Parolin decided to create something artsy special. To commemorate the 100 most watched YouTube videos of all time; they had created a gorgeous poster that captured every single video in icons. The process, as they described, was tedious. Both designers spent hours watching all the top 100 videos before sketching the icons. The sketches were then converted to digital form before designing it into the poster. When art and YouTube fusions, this is what you ...

Creative iPod Nano Watch Gets Over $600,000 in Funding

Apple's new iPod Nano isn’t just small, light and stylish. It also has multi-touch functions. Inspired, Minimal’s engineers and designers thought that the iPod Nano would make a good multi-purpose watch. The team placed the idea on Kickstarter with an aim to raise $15,000. To the team’s astonishment, the project has received over $600,000 in funding with 10 more days to go. That was also the first project on Kickstarter to top $500,000 in funding. “It just seems to keep on going,” Mr. Wilson said, referring to the number of pledges received ...

Well-known celebrities like Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake, Alicia Keys, Usher, Serena Williams, Jennifer Hudson, and Elijah Wood have stopped updating on their Twitter and Facebook accounts. And it looks like they left a last message and testament video before they departed. Their last tweets direct fans to buylife.org where there are pictures of them resting in coffins. On 1st December, they have taken part in 'Digital Death' as part of World Aids Day to raise awareness and garner donations to save millions of real lives affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa and ...

When Facebook becomes a Real Book

When Facebook becomes a Real Book

How should we boost 'like' count of a newly set up Facebook page? DDB Paris has a unique suggestion - create a real book out of Facebook. A Facebook application was developed to pull and organize relevant information from the user's profile to create the book. Unfortunately, only the first 1,000 submissions were accepted. This creative idea has created hype amongst Facebook fans. Just after two days, the Bouygues Telecom's Facebook page received more than 15,000 likes. It currently has more than 21,000. "Bouygues Telecom asked us to come up with ...

As part of winning the award, it received the prize of a YouTube homepage takeover worth £75,000. 'Embrace Life' communicates the message of the importance of seatbelts. It may not have been screened on television, but it has already racked 11 million views on YouTube. If you have not seen it yet, ...

3 Amazing Slow-mo Ads

3 Amazing Slow-mo Ads

Something exciting and extraordinary happens when something otherwise ordinary is set into slow motion - details are wonderfully amplified and call for us to take a moment to look at the world in a different light. Take a look at how some have used this strategy in their own ads - Google proved a point by comparing Chrome to the speed of potatoes (yes), lightning and sound - in a really quirky and interesting way. The use of contrast also highlighted the actual speed of which these things were happening, and ...

YouTube Video Resumes Are Ingenious [VIDEOS]

We have seen how people use Google AdWords and Google styled resume to get employers' attention. Now, add YouTube into this portfolio. Several months ago, Graeme Anthony, a PR practitioner created a series of video resumes through YouTube. The video is simple, cool and to the point. At the end of the introduction video appears a side bar, which brings you to different videos to learn more about Graeme. The idea is simply ingenious. 3 Brilliant TVCs from Sony Bravia

3 Brilliant TVCs from Sony Bravia

Sony's BRAVIA has done a good job at associating colours with Sony TVs in a vibrant, youthful way. Done for real, without computer graphics (CG). Check out our favourite BRAVIA ads as well as the behind-the-scenes footage for added inspiration. It's great that Sony places emphasis on incredible experiences with colour and less on the technological nitty gritty of their TVs. Bravo, Bravia! 1. Bouncy Balls 2. Paint 3. Google Celebrates John Lennon’s Birthday with Video Doodle

Google Celebrates John Lennon’s Birthday with Video Doodle

Google’s doodles always give us a reason to smile before conducting a search. This time round, the doodle isn’t just a simple art image. It’s in video format (embedded YouTube video). The doodle celebrates John Lennon’s 70th Birthday, which would have been on Saturday, 9 October. John Lennon is one of the founding members of The Beatles. Most notably, his song, "Give Peace a Chance" was sung by a quarter of a million anti-Vietnam-War demonstrators in Washington, DC on 15 October. You can catch the video below if you don't see it on your Google page.

New Twitter Video Hits Viral Chart

New Twitter Video Hits Viral Chart

About two weeks ago, Twitter introduced its new layout and bird icon. These changes was accompanied by a video. And thankfully, the video isn't the typical feature introduction sort. Instead, it was creatively crafted to be brand and lifestyle centric (catch it below). The new layout only appeared at the end, and to reach to that, a viewer would have seen how Twitter has become a crucial part of our lives. A smart move, since most users, as history suggests, usually resist change. Twitter's arrangement of when to show what is perfect. ...

Would You Look Through Somebody Else’s Phone?

Would You Look Through Somebody Else’s Phone?

This is late. The campaign was launched at the end of 2008, but did an exceptional job of building personal relationships with people and getting them engaged with the brand through 3 personas. Titled “Somebody Else’s Phone”, the campaign invited viewers to explore the lives of three characters through their Nokia 7610 mobile phone: Anna in London, Jade in Shanghai and Luca in Los Angeles, and somehow slipped under the radar and didn't manage to get the credit I feel it deserves. Here's me resurfacing this as a case study of how storytelling and tapping on ...
