Nokia's acquisition of Dopplr, the travel social network site has been confirmed but figures are still undisclosed. It was explicitly stated that their reason for acquiring Dopplr is To build an online community using the expertise of the Dopplr team. Clearly, Nokia is setting sights on building a community that worships its brand. The mobile maker giant did not explain further how they are going to do it and whether this new online "Nokia community" is going to be built within Dopplr is another question.
