The television will feature an Android-based user interface, as well as LG’s Magic Remote Qwerty (a remote with a qwerty keyboard). The television will also have 3D functionality, although personally I find the Smart TV functions more attractive (sorry, I really hope 3D dies this year!). LG’s promo picture of its new television shows an assortment of web-related functions, something which I usually find far ...

Diablo 3 Korean Localization Nearly Done, Chinese Not So Much?
Blizzard games are big in Korea. Starcraft is a sport there and WoW is a passion, so Diablo 3 -- which will be released next year -- is obviously getting a lot of attention from Korean gamers. Unsurprisingly, then, Blizzard is giving the game the complete localization treatment in Korean, and according to the latest reports, they're very nearly done. That's good news, as Asian gamers are sometimes forced to wait around after games are released in the West because their localization hasn't been finished. It looks like Korean gamers ...

If You Feel Like an LG Optimus, Go and Brush Your Shoulders Off

byRick MartininMobile, Social Media, Video
So I received an email announcement this morning about LG’s (SEO:003550) social Christmas promotion, which gives users a chance to win free phones like its Optimus 3D or Optimus Black. I didn’t think much of the contest until I noticed their gangsta ‘Lay-Z’ Santa promo video. It looks as though someone in LG marketing broke out the eggnog a little early this year. The YouTube video they’ve put together is thoroughly cheeze-filled. The accompanying Facebook page invites fans to ‘like’ LG Mobile, and take a quiz for a chance to ...
