With the slow but sure recovery from the DDoS attack, Twitter got plenty to thank Google for, especially when Twitter is the most affected among others. According to Twitter Co-founder Biz Stone, the Twitter team has learned a lot from this incident and will be better prepared next time (if this ever happen again). With Facebook's acquisition of FriendFeed not long ago, I can't help but wonder if Google and Twitter could ever join forces to ward off challenges posted by Facebook. Facebook Chases Google and Yahoo. Twitter Left Behind

byWillis WeeinUncategorized
2009 looks like a good year for Facebook. Last month, we saw how Facebook successfully converted its traffic to revenue along with a good forecasted valuation. More recently, it acquired FriendFeed and its talented team and introduced real-time search and Facebook Lite, which aims to penetrate into more countries. Each tweet is classified into 6 different categories, namely: 1. News 2. Spam 3, Self-Promotion 4. Pointless Babble 5. Conversational 6. Pass-Along Value The Winners 1. Pointless ...
Facebook Lite a Direct Competition to Twitter?

byWillis WeeinUncategorized
TechCrunch and Mashable are fast to release the news! Facebook Lite beta is now underway. It is supposedly a lighter and faster version of Facebook. To put it simply, one might say that Lite is used as a direct challenge against Twitter by being like Twitter. With its recent FriendFeed acquisition and launch of real time search function and now Facebook Lite, it is no doubt that Facebook has all these planned out way ahead of time. What could Facebook possibly come out with next? Only a few thousand users are selected to ...
Twitter Under DDoS Attack.
bySarah ChonginUncategorized
To all of our delight, Twitter is partially up again after about one and a half hour of outrage. According to Twitter status update, it could be a denial-of-service (DoS) attack. DoS attack is an attempt to prevent a website from working properly, denying users from its resource. There are several methods of attack and it could be done by anyone. We would be waiting for Twitter to determine the exact cause. Here's what Twitter said, "We are defending against a denial-of-service attack, and will update status again shortly. Update: the site is ...
