Update on June 7: The Upper Story (TUS) contacted us and explained that the activation campaign for Microsoft Windows 7 hasn't been launched. The videos are simply uploaded on YouTube and all views are generated organically. TUS will keep us updated in three to six months time after the activation has started. This is interesting. Looks like Microsoft got a little creative when promoting Windows 7 in Southeast Asia, releasing a series of online video ads across a number of social platforms (YouTube, Facebook, Blogger, and Twitter). The Upper Storey (TUS), the ...

LiveShare’s Real-Time Photo Sharing Looks Awesome

With real-time photos, LiveShare makes real-time tweets look like child’s play. I love Twitter, but the option to share photos and videos displayed gorgeously in real-time is extremely exciting, especially from a blogger’s point of view. LiveShare is founded by Cooliris, a Silicon Valley based start-up which just ended its Series C round of funding. It has raised $30 million so far, according to Derek Tan, APAC Director at Cooliris. The folks at Cooliris is also the brain behind the brilliant Cooliris 3D Wall (chrome web store link), a gorgeous way ...

If you think of ghosts as objects of fear, you may have to think a little differently about Pocong, a local Indonesian ghost. This ‘ghost’ has more than 350,000 followers in his Twitter account, Poconggg, and he boasts over 26,000 fans on his Facebook page. BMW Brings Another Aspiring Viral Ad Campaign to China

I’ve really enjoyed some of BMW’s marketing work over the years, particularly its short film series, The Hire which featured star-studded crew of actors and directors, not to mention James Brown. Today ChinaSmack points us towards the company’s latest effort in China, a project called ‘M Gladiators.’ This new promotional teaser appears to be the first of a month-long campaign, as a countdown clock over on beastinside.cc, the dedicated page for the campaign, is ostensibly counting down to a model M launch. The ‘M-Gladiators’ video below is a little weak by ...

A Tudou representative declined to comment when we made contact yesterday evening. Elsewhere in the Chinese video space, Ku6 just announced its acquisition of Pipi.cn, a P2P-based video platform. It looks like we're finally beginning to see ...
